Apartment Maintenance Technician

Monarch Investment and Management Group is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Homestead Apartments in Hobbs, NM. We currently manage over 80,000 apartment units in 26 states, making us the 10th largest multifamily owner in the country.

About the role

This role requires pre-employment screenings that include a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed
• Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone every 3 to 4 weeks

Requirements

• 1+ years' experience in general maintenance
• Dry walling experience including painting and carpentry
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing
• Some knowledge of Boilers and Forced Air
• Good verbal and written communication
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to provide great customer service to our residents
• A physical demonstration of your ability to complete the basic job duties will be required during the interview process

Pay

• $20/hour
• Yearly raises up to 5%
• Quarterly maintenance bonus structure, up to $3,000 per year
• On-Call Bonus: $100 a week when on-call
