Apartment Maintenance Technician

About the role

This is a hands-on maintenance position at the Fair Hills Apartment community in Williston, ND. The position offers full-time hours with a guaranteed schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all assigned work orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Focus on HVAC related work orders including diagnosing and repairing common HVAC issues, detecting and soldering refrigerant leaks, recharging freon gas, changing failing compressors and blower motors, replacing limit switches & fuses, and other common HVAC problems.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance including filter changes and coil cleanings.
• Depending on workload, perform non-HVAC repairs such as plumbing, electrical, appliances, and some unit turn maintenance and cleaning.
• Participate in a monthly rotation of a 24/7 on-call emergency cell phone (1 week every 3 weeks).
• Snow removal (when needed during the winter season).

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Appliance repair skills preferred.
• Plumbing skills preferred.
• Multifamily experience preferred, but all maintenance professionals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must participate in a written skills maintenance test as part of the interview process.
• Pre-employment screenings that include a criminal background check, drug screening, and a valid Drivers License are required.
