About the Role
Join our maintenance team at Georgetowne Apartments, a 288 apartment home community. This is a hands-on role dealing with make-readies, work-orders, grounds, and shared on-call (on-call at this property only). This role requires pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check and a drug screening.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 80 hours paid time off in the first year
- Paid holidays
- On-call once every 3 weeks (at 1 property only)
Pay & Bonuses
- $21–$25 per hour (full-time)
- Quarterly bonuses up to $750 (based on site performance)
- $100 for every week you hold the on-call phone, plus minimum 1.5 hours paid time for emergency calls
- If on-call falls on a holiday, an additional $50 for that day
- Annual opportunity for a raise

Responsibilities
- Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
- Make ready / turning units in between tenants
- Painting and staining for both interior and exterior applications
- Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
- Exterior structural maintenance as needed
- Manage coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
- Snow removal
- Pool maintenance (where applicable)
Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in maintenance or equivalent
- 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
- Drywalling including painting and carpentry
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, including sweating copper pipe (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electrical, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures
- Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and garbage disposals
- Preferred experience in HVAC with EPA certification and/or boiler system knowledge
- Preferred pool experience with CPO certification
- Some knowledge of water heaters (both electric and gas)
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide great customer service to residents
- Have basic safety training or be willing to complete basic training within 30 days
- Housing inspection experience (preferred, not required)
