About the role
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the apartments and common areas at HHHunt's Abberly Chase apartments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service technician roles, with experience in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, landscaping, painting, carpentry, and swimming pools.
Responsibilities
- Complete inspections, work orders, turns, and tasks in four technical areas according to company policies and values, ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Solve routine and some moderately complex problems within four technical areas and assist in all other technical areas.
- Notify the Service Manager of any parts or supplies needed to complete a work order, turn, or task when inventory is low.
- Participate in an On-Call schedule and respond to emergency calls, documenting time and work as required by company policies.
- Maintain current on all HHHunt company required training classes either in-person or virtually and maintain any required certifications.
- Communicate and work with contractors and vendors as instructed by the Service Manager.
- Communicate promptly with the Leasing Office and Service Manager regarding charges, deficiencies, or concerns related to the community or residents.
- Ensure the community and all work is clean, neat, and safe for all residents and team members according to company and government standards.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and adhere to company dress codes.
- Maintain and use community equipment and vehicles according to company policies and manufacturer standards.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a service technician or related field, or a trade school certification in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, or a related field and 1 year of experience in a service technician or related field.
- EPA 608 Type I & II certification required.
- Valid CPO certification preferred.
- CAMT designation preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated knowledge in four technical areas including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliances, Landscaping, Painting, Carpentry, and Swimming Pools.
- Demonstrated ability to use a smart device and a computer with organizational tracking systems.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work outside for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
