Perkins Place in Belcamp, MD is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our service team.
About the role
This role involves responding to maintenance work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing units for move-in. Ideal candidates will work well both independently and as part of a team, with excellent customer service skills and some prior residential maintenance experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
- Hanging, prepping, and sanding drywall
- Electrical repairs
- Upkeep and repair of appliances
- Plumbing work
- Painting common areas and apartments
- Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety on the property’s grounds
- Assisting with snow removal
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday emergency coverage
Requirements
- Demonstrated plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills
- Must be available on-call for emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and ability to travel
- Able to troubleshoot minor electrical problems within various types of fixtures and equipment
- Required to work on ladders and lift to heights up to 85 feet
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years’ experience in site maintenance

Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with weekly rotating on-call shifts for after-hours emergencies.
Pay
Starting hourly rate: $24 (based on experience and certifications).
