About the role
Join us as an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor and lead a dynamic team to maintain and enhance our apartment communities. You will ensure apartment homes and facilities are in good working order, meet MAA standards, and exceed residents' expectations. This role involves coordinating the maintenance team for repairs, prompt service responses, and maintaining property appearance to support leasing demand.
The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor assists with hiring, training, and developing maintenance staff, including painters and landscaping personnel.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the maintenance team to ensure repair and upkeep of property facilities and apartment units.
- Ensure prompt and courteous responses to service requests.
- Maintain an adequate supply of market-ready apartments to meet leasing demand.
- Uphold property appearance standards that meet or exceed expectations.
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing assigned maintenance staff, including painters and landscaping personnel.
- Meet financial goals without compromising work quality while exceeding residents' customer service expectations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three to five years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- HVAC experience required.
- EPA Type II or EPA Universal license required.
- For Florida locations, CAMT license required at time of hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
- One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.
