Apartment Assistant Maintenance Technician

About the role

The role involves performing various maintenance tasks in residential apartments, including but not limited to fixing plumbing issues, painting rooms, and cleaning common areas.

Responsibilities

• Fixing plumbing issues and addressing water leaks
• Cleaning common areas such as hallways and stairwells
• Painting rooms and repairing minor structural damage
• Assisting residents with small repairs and maintenance requests

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of related experience in home maintenance or similar field
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with residents and colleagues
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems and plumbing

Skills

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
