AP Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Prepares invoices/credits from vendors for payment by: Verifying accuracy through written approvals
  • Researching variances
  • Analyzing exception issues to determine correct resolution
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external resources for information
  • Manual processing
  • Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders related to product costing
  • Resolves distribution center shipment receipts against invoice costing
  • Reconciles vendor account statements and maintains open transaction tracking for audit
  • Affords assistance to Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor to identify and implement process improvement

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least two years of related experience or training in a high-volume accounts payable role
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills; including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred

  • Ability to consistently follow company standard operating procedures
  • Ability to do repetitive work and work under tight deadline pressures
  • Ability to maintain organized work processes, materials, and files
