AP/AR Clerk

About the role

We are looking for an AP/AR Clerk to support day-to-day accounting operations near Seattle, Washington. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with numbers, and able to keep financial information accurate and up to date. The role will contribute to both payable and receivable processes while helping maintain reliable records and steady cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing financial transactions with accuracy, including invoices, payments, and account updates.
• Maintain organized bookkeeping records and ensure accounting entries are recorded correctly across daily operations.
• Receive, verify, and document cash and other forms of payment in accordance with established procedures.
• Post customer and vendor payments promptly and reconcile them against the appropriate accounts.
• Review account activity to identify discrepancies, follow up on outstanding items, and support timely resolution.
• Keep financial documentation current and accessible to support reporting, auditing, and internal review needs.

Requirements

• Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Working knowledge of full-charge bookkeeping principles and routine financial record maintenance.
• Ability to manage cash transactions carefully while preserving accuracy and accountability.
• Proficiency in posting payments and updating account information without errors.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize financial data in a consistent manner.
• Comfort working independently on recurring accounting tasks while meeting deadlines.
