AOT Area Maintenance Supervisor II
About the role
The Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is seeking an AOT Area Maintenance Supervisor II for the Rockingham team. This position is responsible for leading a team in providing the safe and efficient movement of people and goods, and overseeing the maintenance operations of roadways within the district. Main duties include winter maintenance, such as plowing with specialized equipment and treating roads with winter materials, as well as maintenance and supervisory work on roads, bridges, culverts, and related properties. The incumbent will enforce proper safety practices and train employees.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team in maintaining roadways and related properties
- Overseeing winter maintenance activities, including plowing and winter material treatment
- Maintaining and supervising maintenance work on roads, bridges, culverts, and related properties
- Enforcing proper safety practices and training employees
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent AND five (5) or more years of highway maintenance or construction experience INCLUDING both two (2) or more years of supervisory experience or as a crew leader AND one (1) season or more of operating a snowplow with a wing.
- OR Two (2) years as a Transportation Operations Technician II or higher.
- A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with air brake endorsement, is required.
- An incumbent must live within reasonable proximity of assigned workstation.

Pay
Total compensation is approximately 30% of your total compensation, including:
