About the role
The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday, 1200 - 2000 EST.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all AOG incidents, coordinating with suppliers, service providers, and internal teams to ensure prompt resolution.
- Develop and execute logistics strategies to expedite the delivery of critical aircraft parts and services, ensuring minimum aircraft downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all transactions, including import/export compliance, hazardous materials handling, and certification of parts.
- Manage end-to-end logistics processes, including the procurement, transportation, and delivery of aviation parts and components in response to AOG situations.
- Collaborate with global suppliers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with aviation safety regulations, international trade laws, and customs requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation logistics, supply chain management, or AOG operations.
- Proven track record of managing AOG logistics in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Experience working with global suppliers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft parts, and maintenance operations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to address urgent AOG situations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Aviation, or a related field.
- Professional Certifications: ASQ Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Logistics Professional (CLP), or similar certifications preferred.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Project.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
