About the role

Actively greets members, provides a high level of member service, performs clean up, department set-up and closing tasks as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and help load orders onto the conveyor belt
• Determine member packing preferences and answer questions
• Relate information on special promotions
• Thank members and assist the cashier by counting items left in carts, checking under items, and positioning them for scanning
• Pack member orders into boxes and load to a separate cart or flatbed
• Check packaging for tampering
• Follow all safety and security procedures and proper departmental procedures
• Assist members loading orders into vehicles when appropriate
• Assist members with self checkouts regarding scanning heavy merchandise and entering item numbers
• Maintain cleanliness of register area and general front-end area; clean spills and trip hazards immediately
• Perform set up and closing duties such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area
• Transfer pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to steel shelves, bulk wall, or directly to the sales floor
• Assist with stocking, clear sales floor debris, observe and ensure correct product signage, create computer-generated signs, and label unmarked product with item numbers
• Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials
• Assist with department duties and other departments of the warehouse as necessary
• Operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery as required

Requirements

• Ability to work open availability to meet business needs (excluding religious or disability considerations)
• Proof of authorization to work in the United States upon hire
