Antifreeze Sales & Service Rep - AFSR

About the Role

As an Antifreeze Sales and Service Representative (AFSR), you will apply sales strategies to grow Crystal Clean’s antifreeze business at new and existing customer sites. You will also perform Hazardous Chemical Collection (HCC) services at customer facilities, including handling pump hoses, pumping antifreeze containers, and operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle daily. This role may also involve picking up waste drums of varying sizes and weights using CC-approved material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and promote safe work behaviors consistent with CC safety guidelines.
• Provide customer service and develop new business within an assigned geographic area.
• Align work orders to minimize mileage and travel time.
• Inspect vehicle and equipment for safe operation.
• Service existing customers by delivering new and recycled antifreeze, collecting used antifreeze, and performing related tasks.
• Pursue additional services with existing accounts and develop new customers.
• Assess customer needs, present CC products and services, and generate sales leads for Data-Marketing.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and neatly.
• Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Achieve sales quotas for total revenue and new customer development.
• Adhere to corporate policies and standards, including environmental, health, safety (EHS), human resources, facility, equipment, operations, and maintenance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have or be qualified to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Airbrake and HAZMAT endorsements, and a Medical Card.
• Motor vehicle record (MVR) must meet or exceed CC’s published standards (e.g., no seat belt or cell phone violations, excessive speeding, DUI, suspensions, or multiple vehicle collisions).
• Route sales experience highly preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment such as electronic mobile devices, computers, hoses, and all truck equipment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interact with customers, sales branch employees, and other corporate departments.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting of standard hoses from the ground to the tank, weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Occasional climbing of company-approved step stools to access antifreeze containers.
• Occasional pulling/dragging of hoses up to 100 ft at a time (10-40 lbs).
• Pushing/pulling hand trucks or jacks to move product in and out of trucks.
• Administrative duties as assigned.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators, steel-toe boots, gloves, uniforms, safety glasses, reflective vests, and hard hats.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a variety of environments, including frequent driving, standing, walking, and using electronic devices. Essential duties involve bending, squatting, climbing, lifting, and twisting. Noise levels in the workplace can vary. Pay

The compensation for this role includes a weekly base salary, plus bonuses and uncapped commission. Actual total earnings will vary based on performance and location. Average annual earnings range from $70,000 to $85,000.
