Essential Functions
- Provide diligent patrol of district schools and grounds to keep students, staff and event spectators safe and deter crimes.
- Help enforce PA Crime Codes under direction of the School Police Officer and/or local law enforcement for violations on school property.
- While on duty, respond to emergencies on district property and school buses with the guidance of the School Police Officer and/or local law enforcement.
- Monitor traffic and parking on and around district property.
- Provide law enforcement related assistance on all security matters.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Preferred work experience in law enforcement or security
- Successfully complete the Basic School Resource Officer Course of Instruction offered by NASRO or an equivalent course of instruction approved by PCCD
Skills
- Knowledge of PA Crime Codes
- Ability to enforce laws and regulations
- Patrol skills
