Anticipated Middle School French Permanent Substitute Teacher (February 2026)

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with department members to develop curriculum.
• Teach the target language and culture in task-based, interactive, learner-centered, and experiential classes.
• Collaborate with members of other departments on student activities and interdisciplinary units.
• Assist in general areas of supervision.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts certification in the field.
• Middle school teaching experience desirable.
• Fluency (native or near-native proficiency) in French and/or Spanish required due to oral approach.
• Knowledge of the ACTFL standards and proficiency guidelines a plus; ability to integrate these standards into curriculum and instruction required.
