About the Role
Arlington Public Schools seeks a 1.0 FTE long-term substitute teacher of Grade 6 French at Gibbs School, starting immediately through November 6, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge of research-based effective world language pedagogy including the ACTFL World-Readiness for Language Learning Standards
- Demonstrate use of a variety of materials and modes of instruction, incorporating authentic resources, and be adept with technology
- Effective techniques for classroom management and developing relationships with students
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues and community members
Requirements
- Valid Massachusetts DESE teaching licensure, Foreign Language [French], Grades 5-12, is preferred

- Advanced oral proficiency in French
