About the role

Ancillary duties may include assisting with student organizations, participating in faculty meetings, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Teach mathematics courses aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that are engaging and meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student learning through various methods including quizzes, tests, and projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and report grades as required by the district.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or related field.
  • Valid New Jersey teaching certificate in Mathematics.
  • At least two years of successful teaching experience at the high school level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay

Salary - BA - Step 1 - $72,515 prorated based on length of position.

Schedule

Per annum long term substitute appointments (appointed for 5 consecutive months or more) entitled to health benefits, sick and personal days.
