About the role

The substitute teacher will provide instruction in various subjects to students in grades K-12 across multiple schools in Floyd County.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes according to lesson plans provided by regular teachers.
• Instruct students on classroom rules and expectations.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Adhere to all state and federal educational regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Virginia teaching license or emergency substitute teaching certification.
• Experience teaching in K-12 settings preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow through with assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in using technology tools for education.
• Pass a background check.

Pay

• Non-degreed: $90.00 per day
• Degreed: $105.00 per day
• Retired Teacher, Degreed: $130.00 per day
• Active License (after 20 consecutive days, retroactive): $180.00 per day

Schedule

• Start dates as needed.
