About the role
The anticipated long-term substitute position is for a Teacher of Special Education Mathematics at Freehold Regional High School District for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to students with special educational needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards
- Collaborate with other special education teachers and support staff to provide comprehensive support to students
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements
- New Jersey certification in Special Education and Mathematics (Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Math with Teacher of Students with Disabilities)
Qualifications
- Strong background in mathematics education
- Experience working with students with special educational needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
