Anticipated Cafeteria Floater

Position Overview

To assist in cafeteria services.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in cafeteria services by floating capacity with daily assignments coordinated through the food services department.
• Follow the cafeteria clean-up schedule after meal service.
• Maintain assigned work station cleanliness and restock.
• Follow established procedures for food preparation, service, and cleaning-sanitization.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services.

Education Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED

Experience Requirements

• Minimum: Prior experience in food service operations
• Prior to experience as a cashier preferred

Certifications & Licenses

• Required: None

Physical Demands

• Able to hear with 40 decibel loss maximum
• Able to see with acuity of 20 inches or less and far acuity of at least 20 feet normal depth perception, field of vision and accommodation
• Able to reach above and below the waist, walk and use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects
• Able to lift/carry/push supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
• Able to work in a kitchen environment with extreme temperatures including heat exposure due to cooking, and cold exposure due to coolers/freezers
• Able to stand ninety percent (90%) of workday

Work Environment

• The noise level in this environment is generally moderate to loud
