Anti Tamper System Security Engineer (SSE)
Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking an Anti Tamper System Security Engineer (SSE) to support US Navy and Marine Corps Counter Air / Counter Air Defense (CA/CAD) missions. This role involves managing A/A weapon SSE activities, conducting gap analysis, and providing technical support for weapons development and integration.
About the Role
This position requires knowledge and capability in detailed development of anti-tamper (AT) and cyber security. Must be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities
- Manage A/A weapon SSE activities, including identification of Critical Program Information (CPI) / Critical Technology (CT), SETR processes, and all related documentation and artifacts.
- Conduct gap analysis associated with warfighter needs and A/A weapons development.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all aspects of the development acquisition cycle executed by the weapons Program Management Activity (PMA).
- Requirements and roadmap development for future weapons capabilities.
- Liaison with developmental and operational test (DT & OT) communities (COTF & AFOTEC, DOT&E, Intel Communities (ICs), multiple program management offices, NAVAIR, JPO, manufacturing contractors and fleet/combat air forces when necessary).
- Liaison with FNC, SBIR and other Science & Technology analysis forums.
- Assist the NAVAIR Program Office with system integration of future capabilities for all Department of Defense (DoD) CA/CAD weapons.
- Manage risk assessment process regarding A/C & system of systems integration planning.
- Provide SME on HW/SW development process and industry best practices.
- Provide the Program Office with engineering SME technical advice / insight to weapons development, fielding and end of life cycle efforts.
- Evaluate design, development, production, approaches and execution status in order to identify program risks and recommend to the Government specific actions that can mitigate identified risks.
- Attend capability gap and/or platform / weapons requirements forums and test planning efforts to provide a cohesive and traceable list of desired capabilities, both in current and future weapons roadmaps.
- Liaise with OPNAV N98, HQMC APW and Joint Entities as necessary to ascertain current and future requirements and weapons roadmaps for both Naval and Joint Forces.
- Aid in the development of all requisite JCIDS documents to include AoAs, CDDs and CPDs and ensure there is a traceable and centralized list of requirements.
- Coordinate with DT (contractor and military test organizations (VX-31, AFMC Flight Test Squadrons, etc.) and OT (OPTEVFOR, AFOTEC, VX-9, 53d WG, etc.) communities regarding system development, test planning, execution, evaluation and reporting on the process of CA/CAD weapons development and integration.
- Coordinate with government SMEs regarding detailed development of SSE capabilities.
- Occasional CONUS travel experience preferred.
Requirements
- Experience with weapons system development desired.
- Programmatic acquisition experience desired.
- At least 10 years combined experience in testing and/or technical program management / management support and systems engineering and integration in major defense acquisition programs relating to aircraft / weapon system acquisition and development.
- At least 5 yrs experience in technical program management and/or system development team leadership position.
- Demonstrated understanding of DoD (or appropriate policies and directives) acquisition policy and directives.
- Knowledge and experience working with the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent and their processes is highly desired.
- BS or BA degrees in systems engineering, physics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or engineering (electrical, electronics, or computer) from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- Master’s degree in a business, management, engineering or relevant discipline will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience.

The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 (annualized USD).
