Antenna Maintenance Specialist

This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity). The approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. Training, resources, and coaching are provided to help missionaries reach these financial support goals.

About the Role

Join us in maintaining antenna systems to ensure the continued broadcast of the gospel to millions across South, Central, and North America, including the Caribbean. As an Antenna Maintenance Specialist, you will work with the Station Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to properly maintain antenna systems and other equipment needed to operate a 500 kW Medium Wave (AM) radio station.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect towers, anchors, Phillystran guys, painting, re-tensioning, lighting, and repairing/replacing braces in accordance with best engineering and safety practices
• Inspect all safety equipment and supplies/tools for each tower job and coordinate advance purchase
• Project possible failures, develop risk mitigation plans, and coordinate maintenance on towers
• Instruct tower workers in safety and proper execution of the job
• Organize and lead work crews for all antenna maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate’s degree in engineering, or certification in tower erection and maintenance from a recognized institution
• Practical experience or knowledge in several of these areas: air conditioning, mechanical, auto/diesel, electrical, painting, roofing, and related fields
• Proficiency in English
