The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing general maintenance on dental equipment, machinery, and office/facilities repairs under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance on dental equipment and related office machinery
  • Maintain all property systems (e.g., electrical work, plumbing, painting, drywall)
  • Complete maintenance service requests in a timely manner as assigned
  • Alert the Maintenance Coordinator of any unusual occurrences or potential damage
  • Administer, respond, and complete service requests using a hand-held device (iPhone, iPad) or computer
  • Carry a cell phone for on-call maintenance duties
  • Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with dental office employees, vendors, contractors, and co-workers
  • Complete payroll timesheets and Field Service Reports accurately and submit them on time, including billing for hours worked and parts used
  • Maintain a work vehicle
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Occasional air travel, which may include weekend travel

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of facilities maintenance experience in an office or commercial setting
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance (verified via background check and motor vehicle record check at hire)
  • Reliable transportation to travel to multiple offices per day, sometimes several times per day
  • In lieu of a driver’s license, must have reliable alternate transportation for timely travel
  • Travel may be planned or unplanned and subject to change without notice

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a dental office setting and ability to work on dental equipment (preferred; compensation commensurate with experience)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Pay
