About the Role

Takes parts ready to be anodized and loads them into racks. Ensures proper contact between the parts and the racks for uniform coating. Secures parts tightly to prevent falling during transfer through different process tanks. Racks parts to splines and frames to prepare them for processing. Unloads parts from rack frames after anodizing.

Responsibilities

  • Moves parts from machine shop to anodizing area and moves finished goods to assembly.
  • Racks parts to rack splines, ensuring good contact and proper racking technique.
  • Counts and verifies proper part count.
  • Marks and labels material with appropriate labels.
  • Unloads and inspects parts from rack after completion of the finishing process.
  • Inspects and sorts material that must be scrapped or reworked.
  • Assists with general housekeeping in the anodizing department.
  • Maintains quality while working independently.
  • Ensures adherence to safety, 6S, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Safety-conscious and able to promptly inform supervisors of unsafe conditions.
  • Familiarity with Hazard Communication standards.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Constantly (6+ hours): Stand, walk, twist/turn, stoop/bend, squat, kneel.
  • Frequently (3 to 6 hours): Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Works in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prevents objects from falling and uses correct postures when lifting.
  • PPE must be worn at all times within specified areas.
  • Must use equipment, machines, and tools properly as intended; no shortcuts.
  • Never removes, disables, or tampers with machine guarding.
  • Keeps away from restricted areas and remains clear of power industrial trucks.
  • Keeps work areas and emergency exits clear.
  • Ability to validate and enter data on a computer.
  • Varying shift schedules include early morning, evening, and weekend assignments.
