Annual Giving and Stewardship Manager
Job Overview
The Annual Giving & Stewardship Manager reports to the Chief Development Officer and is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating United Way of Weld County's annual giving and donor stewardship strategies.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive annual giving strategy focused on donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, and upgrades.
Manage multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, digital giving, Giving Tuesday, year-end appeals, annual campaign initiatives, and other annual fundraising efforts.
Partner with the Chief Development Officer to establish annual fundraising goals, performance metrics, and implementation plans.
Monitor campaign performance and recommend strategic adjustments to improve donor participation and philanthropic support.
Analyze donor trends, giving patterns, and campaign outcomes to inform fundraising strategies and strengthen donor engagement.
Manage a portfolio of annual donors with an emphasis on retention, engagement, and increased philanthropic investment.
Collaborate with the development team to identify and advance annual donors with major gift potential.
Partner with Director of Communications to develop compelling fundraising appeals and donor-centered messaging.
Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy that strengthens donor engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Manage stewardship and engagement strategies for Leadership Givers ($500+), Kenneth W. Monfort Society ($10,000+), and Legacy Leaders (planned gift and endowment commitments).
Design and oversee donor recognition programs, giving societies, appreciation initiatives, and donor engagement opportunities.
Establish stewardship standards and procedures to ensure meaningful, timely, and personalized donor engagement.
Coordinate stewardship communications, impact reporting, donor acknowledgements, and recognition activities in partnership with the Executive & Development Operations Manager.
Create opportunities for donors across all giving societies to engage with United Way's mission and understand the impact of their philanthropic investment.
Maintain knowledge of emerging annual giving and stewardship best practices.
United Way of Weld County General Support and promote the mission, values, goals and objectives of United Way, including representing United Way in professional organizations and the community (as assigned).
Support fundraising efforts of United Way and activities that support United Way.
Support United Way annual events, disaster response, and other activities as assigned.
Participate in staff meetings and in service opportunities.
Contribute to organizational promotions including writing promotional copy, proofreading informational and campaign materials, participation in outreach, etc.

Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in fundraising, annual giving, donor relations, stewardship, nonprofit development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in donor engagement, relationship management, and fundraising strategy execution.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
POSITION INFORMATION
Full-time, (40 hours) non-exempt
Salary Range H9: 26.20-31.31
Supervisory duties: None
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Eligible for remote work: Yes, limited remote after 90 days of employment with supervisors’ approval
