Manager - Annual Giving and Donor Engagement
Essential Job Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive annual giving strategies for the AAMC and DCMC Foundations.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of annual fund campaigns, direct mail efforts, and multi-channel appeals.
- Establish revenue goals, track performance metrics, and adjust strategies to maximize donor participation and retention.
- Identify opportunities to grow the annual fund pipeline and strengthen donor acquisition and renewal efforts.
- Execute key special giving campaigns
- Lead and execute the Luminis Health Employee Giving Campaign, including strategy development, messaging, volunteer engagement, and campaign performance tracking.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive employee participation and cultivate a culture of philanthropy across the organization.
- Ensure consistent, compelling messaging across print, digital, social media, email, and web platforms.
- Guide the development of content that communicates impact, highlights donor stories, and advances fundraising priorities.
- Partner cross-functionally to align communications with broader organizational goals
- Manage stewardship strategies that enhance donor recognition and retention.
- Oversee impact reporting processes and donor communications to ensure excellence and timeliness.
- Develop scalable stewardship initiatives that deepen relationships with annual donors.
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance management to the Communications and Stewardship Officer and Digital Marketing Specialist.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven team culture.
- Work closely with the Director, Donor Engagement & Events and other Foundation leadership to integrate annual giving strategies with major gifts, events, and overall fundraising efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, annual giving, marketing, or donor engagement.
- Demonstrated success in executing annual fund and direct mail campaigns.
- Experience managing integrated marketing and communications strategies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven leadership and team and volunteer management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, healthcare philanthropy preferred.

About the Role
The Manager, Annual Giving and Donor Engagement plays a critical leadership role in advancing the philanthropic mission of the Anne Arundel Medical Center and Doctor’s Community Medical Center Foundations. Reporting to the Director, Donor Engagement & Events, this position oversees annual giving strategy, Foundation marketing initiatives, donor stewardship efforts, and comprehensive Foundation communications. This position also plays a key role in executing the Luminis Health Employee Giving Campaign as well as the Annual Fund and Direct Mail appeals for both the AAMC and DCMC Foundations.
