Animal Welfare Officer

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for an Animal Welfare Officer in the Animal Welfare Department.

About the role

The incumbent performs duties related to impounding and/or containing, reclaiming or adoptions, and euthanization of stray or nuisance dogs or animals.

Responsibilities

• Impound and contain stray or nuisance dogs or animals
• Reclaim or adopt out animals
• Euthanize animals as necessary

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience in handling animals preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Successfully complete the State Euthanization course
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required

Skills

• Ability to handle animals

Benefits

• Starting Salary Range: Grade F - According to Policy ($21.1622 - $22.4075/hr.)
