We tackle the root causes of animal cruelty and suffering to create permanent change for animals everywhere.

About the role

As an Animal Welfare Advocate, you’ll be the trusted voice in your community—engaging the public to share vital programs, answer questions, and inspire support for the biggest fights to protect animals. You’ll help grow our community of Humane Heroes—monthly recurring donors whose support powers lifesaving work. Through personal conversations on busy streets, at events, retail locations, and in neighborhoods, you’ll highlight urgent issues and show how everyone can take action to end cruelty and build a more humane world where humans and animals live in harmony. Face-to-face fundraising allows real-time engagement, builds understanding, and drives meaningful, lasting progress.

Responsibilities

• Engage the public with passion and professionalism while representing Threshold Giving and Humane World for Animals
• Share impactful stories and initiatives to recruit new Humane Heroes
• Meet goals while maintaining accurate records and a positive presence

Requirements

• Genuine passion for animal welfare and creating positive change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and interacting with the public daily
• Reliable and self-motivated; prior sales/fundraising experience is a plus but not required
