Data Integration Developer – BI Developer - SQL
As a Data Integration Developer you will be charged with defining data integration strategy, processes and interfaces, implementing data ingestion and integration processes using custom data management and ETL tools and, presenting of processed data. Future projects include Data Warehouse Service and Reporting Service. You will be solving critical business problems for prestigious government agencies. We utilize SQL Server 2005.

Examples of Duties

  • Responsibilities:
    • Data Integration: understand, design and implement data integration flows including physical data models, transaction and batch based ingestion, validation, verification, correlation, and aggregation processes (e.g., ETL processes), with specific emphasis on distributed data processing schemes
    • Data Management: design, implement, and document data sustainability processes to include data audit, archiving, and restoration schemes in a multi-customer environment guided by SAS70 and other compliance and data security standards
    • Query Optimization:
    • Data Presentation: design, document and implement backend data aggregation and presentment processes that support customer reporting (file based and interactive reporting)
    • Application Development: implement custom rule based data transformation processes utilizing Java, Perl, and DBMS based tools
    • Solutions design: work with proposal teams to customize proposal packages to align customer needs with proprietary platform capabilities

Qualifications

  • Typical Qualifications:
    • 4-7 years experience working with SQL Server 2000 and 2005
    • .NET Programming is a plus
    • Physical data architecture, design, modeling, integration, and reporting experience
    • Experience with SSIS
    • Experience with Performance Tuning
    • Experience with Integration Services
    • Experience in building or interfacing to high volume transaction management systems
    • Experience in data warehousing and business intelligence
    • Data modeling tools experience
    • Data access tools experience
    • Some DBA (RDBMS) experience
    • Experience working as an implementation team member with critical individual contributor responsibilities
    • Experience with various SDLC methodologies
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Detail-oriented
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
