Animal Caregiver WTM

About the role

Full-time Animal Caregiver position at a sow farm in Beardstown, IL. You will carry out daily care of pigs, ensuring adequate access to feed and water, monitoring the barn environment, and maintaining animal comfort. Specialized training will be provided in areas such as breeding, assisting during piglet birth, or caring for young piglets.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for pigs, including feeding and watering
• Monitor and maintain barn environment for animal comfort
• Specialize in functions such as breeding, assisting during piglet birth, or caring for young piglets

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Animal husbandry skills or willingness to learn
• Availability to work every other weekend
• Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds

Qualifications

• One year of farm and/or livestock experience
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and computers
