Animal Care Technician (Entry Level)

Piper Companies is seeking an Animal Care Technician to support a leading preclinical research organization in Denver, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in a research and laboratory animal care environment. Training is provided, and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily animal care activities including feeding, watering, health observations, and cage maintenance
• Maintain clean and sanitary housing areas in accordance with established procedures
• Monitor and document environmental conditions within animal rooms
• Assist with animal handling, colony management, and routine facility operations
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
• Support inventory management of animal care supplies and equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior animal care, agricultural, veterinary, kennel, or husbandry experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare

Pay

$18.00/hour (contract to hire opportunity)
