About the role
The University of South Carolina seeks an experienced Animal Care Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in the university's animal facilities.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record animal health and behavior daily
- Clean and maintain animal housing areas
- Prepare food and water for animals
- Assist with veterinary procedures as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in animal care preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license required

- Basic computer skills
