About the Role
The Angiography Technologist performs fluoroscopy and image acquisition procedures in the Catheterization Laboratory, following physician orders and utilizing sound judgment to ensure quality patient care. They support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiovascular conditions using advanced imaging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform primary imaging roles during procedures, including fluoroscopy and cine acquisition.
- Assist as a scrub or monitoring technician as needed.
- Serve as a preceptor for less experienced technologists.
- Participate in educational or quality improvement activities annually.
Requirements
- Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology program.
- Two years of experience in Angiography/Cardiac Catheterization for Tech Level III; one year for Tech Level II.
- Proficiency with Cath Lab equipment and inventory management.
- Current state radiologic technologist licensure and national registration (ARRT-R).
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for higher levels.
- Advanced certifications are a plus for Tech Level III.
Skills
- Sound clinical judgment and technical proficiency.
- Knowledge of Cath Lab procedures.
- Willingness to teach and participate in ongoing education.
Pay
Hourly pay ranges from $46.37 to $73.12, including shift differentials.
