About the role
The Angio Tech Lead position at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center operates diagnostic equipment and performs a variety of technical angiography procedures. Key responsibilities include providing patient orientation, explaining procedures, delivering pre and post-diagnostic care, positioning patients, calibrating equipment, and meticulously documenting findings. The role also involves supervising and mentoring other technologists.
Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic equipment and perform angiography procedures
- Provide patient orientation, explain procedures, and deliver pre and post-diagnostic care until test completion
- Position patients, calibrate equipment, and document findings meticulously
- Mentor and supervise other technologists
- Manage inventory, schedule staff, and oversee board/schedule
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience
- BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association, upon hire
- Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), upon hire
- Licensed as a Medical Radiographer through the Texas Board of Medicine, upon hire
- Registered Technologist Vascular Intervenional Rad, within 24 months or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, within 24 months
Qualifications
- Technical proficiency in angiography
- Strong attention to detail for equipment operation and documentation
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of Angio equipment
- Knowledge of Angio examinations and procedures requiring contrast agents
- Ability to manage patients during complex Angio procedures, such as biopsies, drainages, etc.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization
- Knowledge and practice of ALARA standards
- Knowledge of patient transfer and positioning techniques
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines
- Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct

Pay
The posted compensation range is $45.26 - $67.32 /hour.
Schedule
80 hours per pay period, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm; rotating weekends, holidays, and call requirements.
