About the role

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking Regional Anesthesiologists to join our growing program in Minneapolis, MN.

Practice Overview

  • Practice alongside more than 60 Anesthesiologists, including a dedicated team of Regional Anesthesiology faculty members.
  • Practice at one of two academic inpatient hospitals as part of a dedicated team for regional anesthesia and providing regional anesthesia for orthopedics, thoracic, oncology, gynecology, urology, and pediatrics.
  • Engage in teaching opportunities with residents and fellows, including regional and acute pain fellows.
  • Enjoy protected academic time to pursue educational, quality, service, or research interests.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology residency and Regional Anesthesiology fellowship training program or substantive regional anesthesia experience.
  • Board certified or eligible with the ABA.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
  • Able to work in the United States, with compliance to visa requirements, if applicable.

Pay and Benefits

  • Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
  • Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians.
  • Total annual compensation ranges from $420,000 to $575,000, inclusive of base pay plus expected incentive pay commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
