Regional Anesthesiologist
About the role
This is a position for a regional anesthesiologist or general anesthesiologist primarily to provide clinical anesthesia care with occasional teaching opportunities to residents and medical students. If appointed on the CHS track, duties will also include education and research components.
Responsibilities
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the operating room and in didactic sessions.
- Provide clinical anesthesia care to surgical patients, including working in the operating room, evenings, and weekends in an anesthesia team model.
- Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
- Collaborate with other faculty members in a collegial environment.
- Opportunity for participation in clinical research for interested candidates.
Requirements
- WI Medical license by start date of position.
- Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology by start date of position.
- Completion of Anesthesiology residency program, and certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by start date.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent is required.
Skills
- Strong teaching and mentoring skills.
- Experience with clinical anesthesia care.

- Interest in research and clinical advancements.

Pay
Negotiable, 12 month employees.
Schedule
Full or part-time, 60%-100%.
