Anesthesiologist - Per Diem

About the role

We are seeking board-eligible or certified anesthesiologists to join our team on a per diem basis. This position is ideal for practitioners seeking flexibility, allowing them to work alongside faculty caring for adult and obstetric patients at various hospital settings, including trauma centers, specialty hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for diverse cases such as major abdominal, orthopedic, vascular, neurosurgical, ENT, urologic, trauma, and obstetrics.
• Supervise residents and CRNAs with supervision ratios typically 1:2, up to 1:4.
• Orient and collaborate with experienced faculty, sharing difficult cases and consulting as needed.
• Supervise and evaluate residents and CRNAs, contributing to training in an academic environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
• Eligibility for or possession of a California medical license.
• Experience or interest in academic medicine and resident supervision preferred.
• Faculty appointment within the Department of Anesthesiology.

Pay

Starting hourly compensation between $300-$350, adjusted based on shift timing.
