About the role
This role provides medical and clinical support, focusing on anesthesia-related duties, including administering anesthesia, monitoring patient vitals, and managing pain and critical illnesses. It involves supervising Clinical Care Technicians, overseeing patient flow, supplies, and equipment in a complex environment, and ensuring smooth operations in surgical and diagnostic settings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment
- Assist with invasive procedures
- Troubleshoot monitoring devices
- Inventory supplies and maintain equipment
- Act as a preceptor for new staff
- Coordinate schedules and support process improvements focused on safety and efficiency
- Assist with staff recruitment and floor management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA certification
- Two years of anesthesia tech experience in an OR setting
- Physical ability to lift 40–50 lbs
- Extensive standing
- Ability to work in potentially hazardous environments
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in English reading and writing
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication
- Knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy
- Strong interpersonal skills
