Anesthesia Technician

Summary

Aids licensed anesthesia providers in patient care and equipment monitoring. Responsibilities include cleaning, sterilizing, setting up anesthesia equipment, assisting with patient care tasks, maintaining equipment, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes, and sets up anesthesia equipment
• Maintains patient safety by monitoring, transporting, positioning, inserting IV and other invasive lines, and managing airways
• Performs daily maintenance on equipment and resolves malfunctions
• Ensures adequate supply of equipment and supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification
• Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimal supervision
