Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year experience in a health care environment preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and strong computer skills helpful
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 60 days of employment

Pay & Schedule
The salary range for this position is $16.50 - $26.50 per hour. The shift is 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, with no weekends required. This is a full-time position with 40 weekly hours.
Department Details
The department schedule is 9:30am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. The position involves turning operating rooms over, cleaning anesthesiology equipment, replacing supplies, assisting with equipment preparation, assisting with medication administration when applicable, assisting with order fulfillment, stocking inventory, testing, and maintaining anesthesia equipment. Additionally, the role includes cleaning and disinfecting reusable equipment and reporting malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel. The position also involves removing special and reusable materials after cases and ensuring the room is turned over according to infection control policies and procedures. The employee is responsible for maintaining a clean working environment, surgical rooms, and assisting with clerical duties as needed within the unit, including handling incoming phone calls.
