About the role

The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for maintaining the anesthesia storage areas, ensuring that patient care items are available, and assisting the anesthesiologist and Perioperative staff. Assisting the anesthesiologist and perioperative staff with anesthesia related tasks such as difficult intubation, A-line insertion, spinal or epidural blocks. Assuring the availability of adequate levels of anesthesia supplies and equipment to support the patient care needs in each location (Main OR, ASC, Cath. Lab., GI Lab., and L & D).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the anesthesia storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion for easy access.
• Assisting the anesthesiologist and perioperative staff with anesthesia related tasks such as difficult intubation, A-line insertion, spinal or epidural blocks.
• Assuring the availability of adequate levels of anesthesia supplies and equipment to support the patient care needs in each location (Main OR, ASC, Cath. Lab., GI Lab., and L & D).

Requirements

• BLS from American Heart Association
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment
• 1-Year experience as an Anesthesia Tech; Perfusion Assistant or Respiratory Technician.
