Anesthesia Tech I, Anesthesia, Part Time, Evening
Position Summary
Position assists Anesthesiologist and OR personnel with patient preparation and supply procurement for anesthesia induction and interventional procedures. Position ensures daily preparation and maintenance of anesthesia and interventional procedure equipment and supplies including processing, cleaning and sterilization. Position provides between case room turnover ensuring removal, cleaning, and decontamination of equipment utilized by anesthesia provider for and after each procedure, and restocking of surgical suite and sub-sterilization areas.

Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Hospital/healthcare experience preferred. Special Skills Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods. Demonstrated physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment; demonstrated effective interactive and communication skills(writing, verbal, presentation). Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team and staff, ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; to set priorities and solve problems; to respond quickly to emergency requests; to communicate effectively (orally and in writing). Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic and complex disease processes. Ability to work cooperatively within the healthcare system, with patients and family members and with multidisciplinary team members (i.e. physicians, Respiratory, DI, LAB, etc.). Ability to use critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to effectively problem-solve and deliver care; and to assist in meeting the patient care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. BLS certification obtained within one year of hire.

Pay Range: $21.90 - $27.37 (per hour)
