About the role
The Anesthesia Tech supports anesthesia services throughout the medical center during surgery. They assist in case preparation, induction, extubation, technical and functional support, and room turnover between procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supports anesthesia services throughout the medical center during surgery
- Assists in case preparation, induction, extubation, technical and functional support
- Between case turnovers of rooms between procedures
Requirements
- Familiar with the functioning and requirements of a surgical suite and the processes and requirements of anesthesia care
- Demonstrate ability to utilize and maintain a wide variety of health care equipment
- Demonstrate skill to respond quickly and efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Proficient in English. Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- One (1) year training or experience in a technician-related role
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Knowledge of sterile techniques to provide sterile hands-on assistance
