Anesthesia Tech Lead - Green Hospital

About the role

This is a full time position with 8 hour shifts, M-F 8am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist the anesthesiologist with implementation of monitoring lines and devices.
• Maintain anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Perform and direct the activities involving anesthesia-cardio care for patients in the surgery department demonstrating plan of care/interventions appropriately modified to meet the needs of the patients.
• Collaborate with department leaders.
• Conflict resolution.
• Oversee, coordinate and maintain routine daily staffing schedule and on-call scheduling.
• Strong communication & organizational skills and Lead daily activities of AT team.
• Assist in scheduling training & mentoring of team.
• Inventory & supply oversight.
• Assist with surgical cases from Complex Spine and Neurosurgery, Ortho Spine to ENT, Plastics, Vascular and Robotics. Additionally, you will work with A-lines, CVP lines, Epidural Caths and nerve blocks.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
• American Heart Association BLS health care provider.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• E.M.T. or paramedic experience strongly preferred.
• Anesthesia experience.
• A.S. degree in cardiopulmonary technology or equivalent education and training.
• Code Blue.
• Knowledge and Understanding of Malignant Hyperthermia.
• Transplant Surgery experience: Liver/Kidney/Pancreas.
• Experience with supporting advanced interventions such as SWAN GANZ, central venous catheter placement.
