About the Role

The Devices Android Application Development Team is responsible for architecting, designing, and developing Android applications for Public Safety customers. This internship involves requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing Android mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for Android applications.
• Architect and design mobile solutions for Public Safety customers.
• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Android applications.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a technical discipline.
• Graduation date on or after December 2027.
• Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).

Skills

• Demonstrated experience in mobile application software development on Android (Android Studio and Android frameworks).
• Knowledge of Git, object-oriented development, and Agile software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
• Familiarity with a wide range of Android Framework components such as Bluetooth, Sensors, Widgets, and Services.
• Familiarity with Android security features and mechanisms.
• Kotlin software experience (desired but not required).
