About the role

Univision Television Group, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA seeks a full-time Anchor & Reporter to present local and national news stories on television and streaming for Univision Los Angeles’ news-related television programs.

Responsibilities

• Presenting local and national news stories on television and streaming
• Reading scripts, interviewing guests, and delivering live updates
• Gathering information from various sources, analyzing news stories, and crafting clear, concise scripts for broadcast
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with news sources
• Generating community-related stories and participating in community events on behalf of the station
• Interpreting and translating the news from English to accurate Spanish
• Maintaining a high degree of knowledge of current affairs and community events
• Providing services to our sister national networks as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Communications, Journalism or related field plus 5 years of experience in the occupation or as a television journalist
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish
• Experience presenting Spanish-language news in television studio and in the field
• Experience generating and editing news scripts for broadcast

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of current affairs and community events

Benefits

The annual salary for this role in CA is $181,251.00.
