Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in rideshare marketplace behaviors/trends and support leadership in data-informed business strategies and decisions
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify problems and opportunities in Lyft’s top regions, synthesize the trends and insights, and recommend action plans
  • Operate within rideshare decision-making frameworks with a critical lens, evaluating areas of improvement and business growth opportunities
  • Partner with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and other teams to deliver business, product, and strategy improvements
  • Be proactive in pursuing opportunities and have a true ownership mindset to get things done

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in analytics, statistics, economics, finance, marketing, or other quantitative fields
  • 3+ years experience in management consulting, strategic data science/analytics roles in a technology company, or an equivalent analytical role in a high growth startup
  • Experience analyzing data, extracting key insights and trends, and producing actionable recommendations from the data
  • Experience thinking strategically and tackling open-ended problems, leading to analysis, recommendations, and next steps
  • Experience building relationships and influencing with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to different types of stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets with strong quantitative analysis and data visualization skills

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $118,000 - $147,500, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.

Schedule

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Lyft considers working in the office at least 3 days per week to be an essential function of this hybrid role.
