Analytics Internship: Fall 2026

Overview

River's Edge Insurance Solutions, a surplus lines insurance brokerage and managing general underwriter licensed in all 50 states, is seeking an Analytics Intern in their Richmond, VA office.

What You Will Do

• Provide support to ensure deadlines are met, while maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment
• Aid in the analysis and assembly of reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Create, maintain, and enter information into spreadsheets, databases, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and visualization
• Develop and implement Python scripts for web scraping and data extraction
• Support senior sales and business development personnel in creating and pitching sports-related promotions
• Absorb any overflow work

Qualifications

• A current college student or recent college graduate willing to work at least 15 hours per week in the Richmond, VA office
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including functions, pivot tables, and data visualization
• Experience with Python for web scraping and data manipulation
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Detail oriented; able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter, quick learner, and resourceful in problem-solving
