About the Role
This role is based in Hershey, PA or open to remote work. The Domestic Transportation Analyst, Logistics, is responsible for managing and optimizing customer outbound shipments across the U.S., ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery performance. The analyst coordinates daily shipments, partners with Uber Freight and carriers, monitors KPIs such as on-time delivery and transit times, and resolves service issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
By analyzing transportation data, improving routing and load planning, and collaborating with customer service teams, the analyst supports both operational efficiency and strategic supply chain goals, directly impacting cost control, reliability, and customer trust. This role focuses on CMG outbound shipments direct to customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor outbound shipments to consistently meet customer service-level agreements and delivery commitments.
- Analyze shipment data to improve routing, carrier utilization, and load planning, reducing transit times and costs.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve service issues, ensuring reliable performance.
- Track and report transportation KPIs and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Act as a key liaison between transportation, customer service, and sales teams to proactively address shipment concerns and maintain customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in transportation or logistics.
- Knowledge of freight modes, transportation regulations, supply chain operations, and systems like TMS or ERP.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to coordinate high-volume shipments under tight deadlines and build strong relationships with carriers and customers.
- Experience identifying process improvements and adapting to seasonal demand or unexpected challenges.
Qualifications
- Practical expertise with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP platforms, and shipment tracking tools.
- Familiarity with freight modes such as parcel, LTL, and FTL.
- Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are considered a plus.
