Opportunity
As an Analyst for State Filings, you will be the foundational support for our State Filing consulting team. This is a dynamic role designed for someone detail-oriented and curious about the insurance landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft & Submit: Draft and submit Rate, Rule, and Form filings for all states and Property & Casualty lines of business. Prepare and complete the necessary transmittals.
- Objection Support: Assist with tracking and managing state filing objections. Work with key stakeholders to address and respond to the objections in a timely manner.
- Monitor: Monitor the status of state filing projects. Collaborate with the team to ensure client expectations and deadlines are met.
- Research & Industry Knowledge: Foundational Research: Conduct targeted research using public and proprietary insurance resources to support client projects. Regulatory Monitoring: Track bureau changes, updates to industry regulations and market trends (as needed) to keep our teams informed and ahead of the curve. Continuous Learning: Actively participate in internal strategy meetings and training sessions to build your insurance and consulting expertise.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of progressive rate, rule, and form filing experience in Property and Casualty insurance, preferably Commercial Lines.
- Workers Compensation experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree (or in progress) preferred.
- Profound experience with SERFF for the electronic filing of insurance rates, rules, and forms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong aptitude for collecting, organizing, and reviewing data for accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to perform thorough and accurate research utilizing a variety of resources such as online databases and industry-specific publications.
- The ability to draft and format clear, concise, and professional documents, presentations, and reports.
- Experience with converting pdf files to Word and Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, meticulous focus on accuracy, particularly when performing data entry, quality checks, and managing project documentation.
- Able to work effectively with colleagues, follow directions from senior team members, and contribute to a shared goal.
- Adaptability & Eagerness to Learn with a proactive approach to learning about new processes, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, maintain organized project files, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Pay
The base salary for this position is $60,000-$75,000. Final salary offer will be based on several factors, including commensurate experience, qualifications, and skills.
